The Matrix: Keanu Reeves plays Neo, a computer hacker who discovers that the world around him is a computer simulation called The Matrix. He learns this from Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), who also tells him that the Matrix uses humans as fuel for his quest of total domination. Morpheus has been searching his entire life for a chosen one to destroy this machine controlled world, and he believes Neo is it. Neo has his doubts, but through all his adventures with Morpheus and his crew, he starts to believe, and is ready to fulfill his destiny in The Matrix.

The Matrix Reloaded: Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, and the rest of their crew continue to battle the machines that have enslaved the human race in The Matrix. More humans are also being rescued from their battery life and attempting to live in the real world;as their numbers grow, the battle moves to Zion 'the last real-world city' and center of human resistance.

The Matrix Revolutions: The machine army continues to drill towards Zion. Within hours, they will overrun the population of the Zionites and lay extinction to human kind. Meanwhile, Neo is held captive by the Merovingian at a train station. Trinity & Morpheus set out to release him from a mysterious train operator. Also, Smith resumes his quest to kill Mr. Anderson as he reveals his identity into the real world and resumes to replicate his program inside the computer program known as The Matrix, causing it to decay. All hope is placed in the freed Neo, who must travel to the city of the machines in the Logos ship with Trinity and bargain to save each kingdom from destruction by finishing Smith once and for all. But even with his new powers over the sentinels, will he be able to fight them off and once and for all destroy The Matrix?
